OUR CLASSES

PILATES

Pilates uses full-body, low-impact exercises to target your core and strengthen muscles. Work to increase your flexibility, circulation, and abdominal strength. Your postural alignment and range of motion will also improve, restoring the natural curves of the spine.

YOGA

A combination of physical and mental exercises, yoga can offer improvements in strength, balance, and flexibility. Slow movements and deep breathing exercises promotes relaxation and meditation.

IRON YOGA

Iron yoga combines weight training with the balance and focus offered in regular yoga classes. It’s a full body workout that utilizes weights for upper body training, and yoga poses to strengthen our core and lower body.

SCULPT

Sculpt is a non-impact workout intended to condition and sculpt muscle groups. A combination of strength training and hand weights are used to tone muscles and burn fat. We fuse hypnotic latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves for an exciting fitness program.

CYCLING

Cycling is an exhilarating workout that promotes weight loss and endurance. The high intensity cardio training on the stationary bikes burns fat and improves strength.

    OUR INSTRUCTORS

    PAM (OWNER, TRAINER, DIET COACH)

    Gregg and his wife Pam started Powershop Gym, Inc. in October of 1995. Gregg has been a driving force of Powershop Gym and has done a majority of the construction and carpentry work on the building.

    TONYA (TRAINER, DIET COACH)

    Tonya  has been a member of the staff since 2004. She has a a variety of personal training clients differing in age, backgrounds, and goals. Tonya has also taught group exercise classes for 18 years. Tonya has had many years of weight training experience and helps out with Strong Women Stay Slim. Tonya has 2 children and 3 grandkids.

    LYNDEE (TRAINER,DIET COACH)

    Lyndee joined Powershop Gym in 2014.  She graduated SDSU with a Nursing degree.  Lyndee and her husband Carl have 2 kids.

    DAYTON (TRAINER)

    Dayton was born and raised in Brookings and a gym member since 2008.  He was a Brookings High  School and collegiate athlete.  He studies Exercise  Science and Business Administration through USD. 

    JALEN (FRONT DESK, TRAINER)

    Jalen joined Powershop Gym in 2019. He is a junior at SDSU majoring in History Education with a minor in Political Science. He graduated from Freeman High School in 2017. His hobbies include lifting, hunting, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.

    Morgan is a junior at South Dakota State University here in Brookings. She is majoring in exercise science.
